The promontory’s coast is almost entirely rocky with cliffs that fall into the sea.
The advised itinerary is the circumnavigation of the promontory, starting from Porto Santo Stefano. The first spot you shall come across is the Argentarola, once the favourite destination of numerous specimens of monk seals.
A few miles ahead you can find Capo Uomo, loved by the fishermen looking for sea basses and dentexes passing by. Further away you can find Isola Rossa (Red Island), which offers crystal clear waters and plenty of fauna, and Torre Ciana.
