It is characterized by fine sand, some rocky tops and small inlets, the waters are low and warm. A large and level path, under the shade of high pinetrees runs across the entire tombolo. It is possible to hire bicycles.
Halfway through you can find a work of art which commemorates the history of art master Caravaggio who was found here in mysterious circumstances and close to death.
