Wines

The undisputed king is the Morellino di Scansano DOC, a full-bodied red wine, obtained mostly by Sangiovese and Ciliegiolo grapes, the excellent Parrina, cultivated on a strip of land at the sides of the Orbetello lagoon and the D.O.C. of the renowned Bianco di Pitigliano.
With the Typical Maremma Geographical Indication (IGT) it is possible to taste the Ripa and the Sassotondo which are produced in the area of Sovana. By the shore, instead, you can enjoy a snack with a glass of white wine, i.e. Ansonica, and some small prawns.
